The Rundown: Psylocke finds herself trapped by a deadly collector who believes her to be his greatest prize.

Kwannon awakens to find herself surrounded by the Taxonomist’s butterflies and herself tacked to a surface to become his next exhibit. After revealing himself and the truth about who and what he is, he shows Kwannon how he has been following her for years to get to this moment and that she is only half of what he is looking for. He also wants Betsy Braddock to make his collection complete.

With a paralytic coursing through her veins and unable to access her powers, Kwannon thinks back to all the people who have tried to use her. Determined to fight, Psylocke must push through the pain in order to not only free herself, but show her captor who he’s really dealing with.

The Story: Wong crafts a thrilling, emotional adventure in this issue. The character’s determination continues to draw me in a reader, but I also enjoy the moments where she embraces her humanity. There is some great action in the story, but the dialogue is rich and engaging as well. A powerful finale that plants the seeds for the next personal arc for the character. An arc I look forward to reading.

The Art: Carratu and Hidalgo deliver beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the beautifully detailed pages and panels as well as the visual thrills of the action.
